Apple Announces Slew of New Products and Upgrades

Inbound marketing just got a lot lighter. Today Apple held a special fall product launch, focused on iPads. One of the standout moments of the launch was the introduction of the iPad Air. Now you can check your social media marketing on an iPad that weighs almost nothing.  No more lugging around heavy

iPad Air will weigh just one pound, compared to the original 1.4 pounds and carry the new “Apple A7” chip. The tablet will have CPU up to two times faster then before and the graphics are 72 times better then the original iPad. The Air also boasts faster WiFi along with a 10 hour battery life.

The iPad mini will also be coming out with more to offer, the biggest addition being the retina display.

The new iPad mini will be $399, coming out sometime in November, and the iPad Air will be sold at $499 November 1st.

Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook had this to say about the announcement of the new tablets: "We have a very clear direction and a very ambitious goal. We still believe deeply in this category and we're not slowing down on our innovation."

Another big announcement at the event was that Apple Inc will give away Macintosh operating and work software free to its users. This being a direct challenge to Microsoft Corp. OS X 10.9 Mavericks is already ready for free download for Mountain Lion, Lion or Snow Leopard users in the Apple’s Mac App Store. One of the highlights of the upgrade is a longer battery life for users.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is 3.46 pounds and 0.71 inches thick. That will ship Tuesday and be priced at $1,299.

All of these exciting announcements come right before the holiday season, signaling that competition between all of the companies will only heat up from here.
