media buyer OhioLast week's household TV ratings have no big surprises as American Idol and The Voice continue to battle for top ratings.

American Idol garnered a 10.7 hh rating on Wednesday and a 9.4 on Thursday. The Voice captured an 8.4 hh rating followed closely by NCIS with an 8.2.

Cable TV was led by Walking Dead on AMC with a 4.9 and Jersey Shore on MTV with a 3.3.  Swamp People, The History Channel's latest hit, earned a 3.0 rating.

Sunday's Celebrity Apprentice was the final episode for Patricia Velasquez.  But I doubt many people care or watched.  The two hour format has become tired and boring.  Does it really take two hours to tell this story on a Sunday night? Dragging out the action to fill two hours seems counter-productive when there are too many other programs that people want to watch.

The Amazing Race on CBS concentrated their ratings hopes on hairy men bathing in oil.  Did they see the research about disgusting versus scary?  They win with the gross element.

Tonight Dancing With the Stars goes head to head with The Voice. Last week's episode of DWTS showed some of the best dance moves for a first time dance by many of the contestants such a Gladys Knight, actor Jack Wagner, TV star Melissa Gilbert, "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd, and Jaleel White.   While The Voice attracts a little younger demo, it will be interesting to see how each ranks.

What shows do you think are worth watching?
